MEET A MUTUAL – TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Meet a Mutual! By purchasing a ticket, attending, submitting a presentation, or participating in any Meet a Mutual event (including “Pitch a Friend” events), you (“you,” “attendee,” or “participant”) agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. NATURE OF THE EVENT
Meet a Mutual events are social gatherings designed to facilitate introductions between individuals through presentations, pitches, and informal interaction.
We do not guarantee:
Romantic matches
Compatibility between participants
Accuracy of any information presented by attendees
Any specific outcome from participation
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
2. ELIGIBILITY
By attending or participating, you represent that:
You are at least 21 years of age
You will comply with all venue rules, including those related to alcohol service
All information you provide (including any “friend pitches”) is truthful to the best of your knowledge
You have obtained consent from any person you are presenting (“the Friend”) to share their information publicly
3. SUBMISSIONS & PARTICIPATION DISCRETION
Submission of a presentation (including “Pitch a Friend”) does not guarantee acceptance.
We reserve the absolute right, in our sole discretion, to:
Accept or reject any submission for any reason or no reason
Limit participation in presentations
Deny any individual the ability to present or participate in event programming
We are not obligated to provide explanations for acceptance or rejection decisions.
Repeated attempts to submit after rejection, or attempts to challenge or pressure organizers regarding such decisions, may result in removal from current and future events.
4. CODE OF CONDUCT
All participants agree to:
Treat others with respect and courtesy
Obtain clear consent before engaging in physical contact or continued interaction
Respect boundaries, including rejection
Follow directions from event organizers and venue staff
The following are strictly prohibited:
Harassment, intimidation, or persistent unwanted attention
Unwanted sexual advances or inappropriate comments
Behavior that makes others feel unsafe or uncomfortable
Disruptive or confrontational behavior toward attendees or organizers
Recording or photographing others without consent (where applicable)
5. REMOVAL & BANS
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to:
Remove any participant from an event without refund
Deny entry to any individual
Prohibit attendance at future events
This includes, but is not limited to, individuals who:
Have previously been removed from an event
Have received complaints from other attendees
Engage in behavior that compromises the safety, comfort, or experience of others
Harass, confront, or pressure organizers regarding participation decisions
6. SAFETY DISCLAIMER
Meet a Mutual does not conduct background checks on participants.
You are solely responsible for:
Your personal safety
Your interactions with other attendees before, during, and after the event
We encourage:
Meeting in public places
Informing friends of your plans
Exercising reasonable judgment
7. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY WAIVER
By attending, you agree to assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:
Personal injury
Property damage
Emotional distress
Interactions with other attendees
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Meet a Mutual, its organizers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
Your participation in the event
Interactions with other attendees
Content shared by participants
8. MEDIA RELEASE
By attending, you grant Meet a Mutual permission to:
Photograph, record, or film the event
Use your likeness in promotional materials, social media, and marketing
If you do not wish to be recorded, you must notify us in advance at [Insert Contact Email].
9. TICKETS & REFUNDS
All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events
In the event of cancellation, refunds will be issued per the ticketing platform’s policies
10. PRIVACY
We may collect limited personal information for event administration.
We do not sell personal data; however:
Information voluntarily shared during the event is not private
We are not responsible for how attendees use information shared during or after the event
11. MODIFICATIONS
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State].
